Background Information:
This project includes mobilization, sealant, water blasting, and wall coating of approximately 30,000 square feet of substrate that will be coated with 2 coats “Weatherlastic” elastomeric coating at the San Marcos Activity Center. The Activity Center is currently experiencing minor water penetrations from the exterior envelope of the building. This coating will prevent water from penetrating the exterior of the building and will improve the overall esthetics of the Activity Center.
Pursuant to Local Government Code 271.102 which authorized the City to participate in cooperative purchasing programs, staff recommends award of this work to Western Specialty Contractors, Selma, TX in the estimated amount of $154,681.03 through the Omnia contract #TX-R 180903-31853 for Roofing Products, Services, and Job-Order-Contracting Services. Omnia issued a Request for Proposals, evaluated offers and selected Western Specialty Contractors based on best value.
