Background Information:
The City entered into an agreement to temporarily sell water rights from its Edwards Aquifer Authority permitted water supply for 500 acre-feet per year for 2024-2026 to the County Line Special Utility District. This amendment would allow San Marcos to re-acquire some or all these water rights, at its request and with mutual agreement. This provides San Marcos with more flexibility in managing its water supply portfolio.
