Background Information:
The US department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) requires the creation of a Consolidated Plan that sets strategic priorities and goals for the next five years of HUD grant funding, identifies types of activities the City will fund, and acts as the foundation for future one-year Action Plans.
One comment was received at the June 3 public hearing, in favor of using CDBG funding creatively.
After considering public comments received at the hearing and in surveys, workshops, and interviews during the plan preparation process, the City Council selected the following as the Priority Needs for CDBG funding:
• Affordable Housing
• Public Services
• Public Facilities
The draft Consolidated Plan was posted for public comment June 6-July 7. No comments were received.
