Consider approval of Resolution 2024-108R, approving an agreement for the provision of services in connection with the proposed owner requested annexation in Case No. AN-24-05 of approximately 3.43 acres of city-owned land area, known as Rattler Substation; generally located southeast of the intersection of Clovis Barker Road and Leah Avenue; authorizing the City Manager, or her designee, to execute said agreement on behalf of the city; setting a date for a public hearing concerning the proposed annexation of said tract of land; and declaring an effective date.

Background Information:
The approximate 3.43 acres is located 1,400 feet southeast of the intersection of Clovis Barker Road and Leah Avenue. Zoning is not proposed with this annexation; Future Development “FD” is the default zoning district for any annexed property unless zoned otherwise. The site is located within the Employment Area preferred scenario type in the 2013 Comprehensive Plan. This land is city-owned and intended for continued use as an electric substation. An annexation service agreement is attached. The City of San Marcos is the water, wastewater, and electric provider.
