Background Information:

At the April 1 regular meeting, City Council voted to approve Resolution 2025-66R, which stated that the Public Hearing for AN-25-01 would be held on May 6, 2025. The applicant has requested postponement to allow for the concurrent annexation and zoning of 10 acres +/- adjacent to the site. An updated schedule is included in the presentation, with the Public Hearing for the annexation now proposed for August 19, 2025.

 

The annexation request is approximately 18.25 acres located directly to the south of Heldenfels Industrial Park with frontage on the IH 35 frontage road, intended for use as an industrial park. A concurrent request for a zoning change to Heavy Industrial “HI” zoning (Case No. ZC-25-01) is being considered. The Planning & Zoning Commission voted at the April 8 regular meeting to recommend approval of ZC-25-01.
