Background Information:
The City of Brownsville/Brownsville Public Utility Board has awarded a contract for Printing and Mailing Services for Utility Bills and Reminder Notices to InfoSend, Inc., of Anaheim, California. The City of San Marcos Utility Billing Division, Finance Department wishes to continue utilizing Infosend, Inc. for such services. The City’s current contract with Infosend, Inc. expires the end of June 2022 and in order to continue services without interruption, the City will contract with Infosend, Inc., via the City of Brownsville/Brownsville Public Utility Board’s interlocal cooperative purchasing agreement. This request is to approve the interlocal agreement between the City of San Marcos and the City of Brownsville/Brownsville Public Utility (222-147).
The City is authorized by the Local Government Code, Chapter 271, and by the “Interlocal Cooperation Act”, Texas Government Code, Chapter 791, to participate in cooperative purchasing programs to increase efficiency and effectiveness of local government procurement and contracting.
