Background Information:
On August 26, 2024, the City entered into a professional services agreement #224-231 for $99,000 with Sunrise Rehab & Recovery DBA Evoke Wellness San Marcos with a corporate office located in Miramar, Florida.
Through this agreement, Evoke Wellness provides a Substance Use Treatment Program for adults participating in the City of San Marcos Mental Health Court Program. The services include a detox program and a residential treatment program.
This agreement is funded by American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) federal funds. As the City is requesting to increase the agreement amount from $99,000 to $150,000 to provide greater outreach to the San Marcos community, this requires consideration and approval by City Council.
