Background Information:

Hays County and the City of San Marcos fall in a disparate jurisdiction.   As such, only one entity may apply for the Department of Justice, JAG funds and the other must be listed as a sub-awardee.  Hays County has agreed to serve as the primary applicant for this grant.  The jurisdiction’s total allocation amount is $28,989 - the City will receive $18,869 and Hays County will receive $10,120. 

At its August 3rd Council Meeting, the City approved this application and authorized the City Manager to execute documents in relation to this grant.

Attached is the interlocal agreement needing your approval in order to be able to implement this grant award, in conjunction with Hays County.
