Background Information:

The Guadalupe Street Improvements projects was bid twice with resulting bids far exceeding the project budget.  Engineering/CIP Department made the decision to break the project into 3 smaller projects.  The Guadalupe Bike Lane Signals and the Guadalupe Sidewalk and Landscaping projects were re-bid and successfully awarded in January.  The third project, Guadalupe Pavement Markings and Signage project, will be completed  using in-house Public Services staff.

This request is to award a contract for materials required for Guadalupe St. Bike Lane Pavement Markings & Signage project that is being constructed by the City’s Public Services staff. Pursuant to the authority granted by Local Government Code 271 Subchapter D, award is based on proposed discounted rates. The total requested contract award to Centerline Supply, Inc. through Buyboard Contract 608-20 is in the amount of $174,082.86.

Installation of the pavement markings by in-house Public Services staff will coordinate with the construction of the bicycle signals with completion in May 2021.
