Background Information:
The attached Professional Services Agreement for $147,009.10 with Kimley Horn and Associates, Inc. will provide engineering design and bid phase services for the City of San Marcos related to the Rattler Road Waterline Extension project.
The scope of work includes the installation of approximately 2,500 LF of 12” waterline from Old Bastrop Road to a point along Rattler Road 1,000 feet west of Highway 123. This will complete a water main loop to provide a second feed to the Cottonwood Water Tank per the Water Master Plan. Currently, the tank is only served by one feed. Not having the ability to feed from multiple directions can become an issue if breaks or shutoffs occur on Highway 123.
Preliminary construction cost is estimated at $700,000 and scheduled to start in 2026.
