Background Information:
The City of San Marcos is committed to ensuring continuity of leadership and operations within the San Marcos Fire Department while the City completes its recruitment process for a permanent Fire Chief. Jonathan Henderson will be serving in an interim leadership capacity and continue providing executive oversight and organizational stability for the department during this transition.
This resolution formally appoints Jonathan Henderson as Interim Chief of the San Marcos Fire Department, effective August 5, 2026. The appointment will remain in effect until a permanent Fire Chief is appointed.
