Background Information:

In June of 2024, Commissioners Garber, Kelsey and Meeks were appointed to the CUP Committee. On February 28th, 2025, Commissioner Kelsey’s term on the Commission ended and Commissioner Burleson was appointed to fill the vacancy. At this time the Commission should consider filling Commissioner Garber’s vacant position.

 

The committee is scheduled to meet Wednesday, April 30th at 11:30 am - the committee meets monthly on average until their mission is fulfilled. Staff anticipates 2-3 more meetings of the Committee will be necessary.

 

The following mission statement was approved by City Council on September 3, 2024.

Consider what types of uses require Conditional Use Permits, with an initial focus on permits for on-premise consumption of alcoholic beverages, and the associated processes, regulations, and standards, and enforcement associated with Conditional use Permits.
