Background Information:
This project will provide shade for the bleachers at Ramon Lucio Baseball fields. These structures are intended as a short-term improvement for the next several seasons and will be moved to provide shade for the bleachers at the Gary Sports complex youth field and picnic areas at a future date.
This project consists of installing eight (8) four-post 20’ x 40’ canopies over existing bleachers at Ramon Lucio Fields.
City staff recommends award of a contract to T.F. Harper & Associates, LP in the amount of $61,590 through BuyBoard Cooperative Contract #512-16. This procurement is in accordance with Local Government Code Chapter 271.101, whereby the City is authorized to enter into contracts through cooperative purchasing programs.
