Background Information:
This annexation request is accompanied by a Zoning Change application to Character District-5 (CD-5) - case ref: ZC-22-32. The annexation and associated CD-5 zoning reflect the approved Development Agreement (PDA-22-01/2022-167R) considered by Council on 08//02/22. The Development Agreement allows for 4-bedroom units (as opposed to the standard 3 bedroom maximum for CD-5 zoning) and administrative approval of parkland fee in lieu requests. An indicative site plan for a multifamily apartment complex (approx. 330 units) is included in the application packet. The Development Agreement was considered concurrently with a Resolution of No Objection to a 4% Low Income Housing Tax Credit request (LIHTC-2022-01/ 2022-166R) which Council also approved on 08/02/22.
Proposed Annexation Schedule:
September 6, 2022: Approve Service Agreement & Set Annexation Schedule
October 3, 2022: Public Hearing on Annexation & Zoning
October 18, 2022: Reconsideration of Annexation & Zoning Ordinances
