Background Information:

At the February 18th regular meeting, City Council voted to approve Resolution 2025-27R, which stated that the Public Hearing for AN-25-02 would be held on April 1st, 2025. The applicant has requested postponement of the public hearing schedule to allow them more time to provide responses from the proposed data center developer in response to questions from the public, City Council, and the Planning and Zoning Commission. An updated schedule is included in the presentation, with the Public Hearing for the annexation now proposed for May 6th.

 

This annexation request is approximately 65 acres and is part of a wider 199-acre site proposed for a data center. A preferred scenario amendment from Conservation/Cluster to Commercial/Employment Low (PSA-25-01) and a zoning change from Future Devleopment/ Character District 2.5 to Light Industrial (ZC-25-02) are being considered concurrently.
