Background Information:

This is the second lease extension for the Seguin WIC office, effective 09/01/2026 - 08/31/2031. There is a nominal increase in the base rate each year, but still below market. The original lease was approved by Council in 2016, and the first least extension was approved in 2021. The annual lease amounts are as follows:

                     $36,000 - Year 1

                     $37,800 - Year 2

                     $39,690 - Year 3

                     $41,675 - Year 4

                     $43,758 - Year 5

 

The City of San Marcos WIC Program operates clinics in San Marcos and adjacent counties to produce adequate earned WIC revenue to meet all required components and be financially self-sustaining. All WIC expenses, plus indirect cost reimbursement, are funded 100% with Federal funds through a contract with the Texas Health and Human Services Commission.
