Vision San Marcos - A River Runs Through Us
Background Information:
On October 19, 2023, The City of San Marcos received five (5) proposals in response to Request for Proposal # 223-110 Historic Preservation Plan. A city-staffed evaluation team evaluated and scored all five proposals based upon the evaluation criteria listed in the RFP. The evaluation team determined the top scoring responding firm to be highly qualified, and further, determined awarding a contract to this firm, as allowed by the terms and conditions of the RFP, to be in the best interest of the City. The firm selected for award is as follows:
• Stantec Consulting Services Inc.
The purpose of this project is to prepare an action-oriented, equitable, and inclusive community-wide historic preservation plan. The plan shall be task oriented with prioritized short- and long-term goals and objectives to consider current and future growth of the program. The plan shall be designed to improve the preservation of historical and cultural resources of San Marcos over the next 5 to 10 years as a tool in urban design, economic development, land-use planning, heritage tourism, and place-making.
The term of this Agreement will commence on the Effective Date and will continue for a two (2) year term or until such time as the deliverables are provided to the satisfaction of City, unless sooner terminated.
The contract value is not to exceed $105,000 with an actual contract value of $99,999.70. Planning and Development Services has applied for grant funding of $5,000.00 that, if awarded, may be added to available funding.
