CITY COUNCIL GOAL:
BACKGROUND:
The current contract for Analytical Testing Services (IFB 214-016) with San Antonio Testing Laboratory, Inc., located in San Antonio, Texas, expires on January 18, 2015. Within the terms and conditions of the contract, the City has the option to renew for four (4) additional one (1) year periods, with the mutual agreement of both parties. This will be the first renewal. Contract renewals may be awarded administratively in the form of a letter of agreement signed by the Purchasing Manager.
The initial contract award for Analytical Testing Services (IFB 214-016) with San Antonio Testing Laboratory, Inc., is effective January 19, 2014, through January 18, 2015, and was awarded administratively as the total amount of the contract was below the $50,000 threshold. The following items are testing services performed:
Item #1 - 40 CFR, Part 122 Appendix D, Table III: $175/Each
Item #2 - 40 CFR, Part 122 Appendix D, Table II, Organic Toxic Pollutants & PCBs: $550/Each
Item #3 - Other Metals: $30/Each
Item #4 - Fats, Oil, & Grease: $45/each
Item #5 - Pick up/Delivery of Sample: $0
The contract will be effective January 19, 2015, through January 18, 2016; therefore, it extends through two fiscal years. The estimated annual amount of the contract is $33,225; however, the estimated amount for the remainder of FY15 is $23,534.38. Purchases against this contract for FY16 are contingent upon the approval of the FY16 budget by the City Council.
