Background Information:
On January 13, 2022, the City of San Marcos received six (6) proposals in response to Request for Proposals #221-206 for Qualified List for Arborist Consulting and Surveying Services. A City-staffed evaluation team evaluated and scored each proposal submitted based on the evaluation criteria stated in the solicitation. Composite Matrix attached. The evaluation team determined the most highly qualified firms to be as follows:
• Austin Beautiful Trees, Inc., located in Austin, Texas;
• Davey Resource Group, Inc., located in Kent, Ohio;
• Heritage Tree Care located in Buda, Texas; and
• The F. A. Bartlett Tree Expert Company located in Stamford, Connecticut.
Resulting contracts from the qualified list will be for the provision of general arborist services for various horizontal construction projects on an as-needed basis. All services performed by the Arborist will be in accordance with the International Society of Arboriculture (“ISA”). This qualified list will be in effect until the end of 2027.
