Background Information:
On December 7, 2023, five (5) bids were received for solicitation 224-009 Hilltop Substation Transformer. The most responsive bid which provides the best value for the City of San Marcos of $1,645,556.00 from Texas Electric Cooperatives, Georgetown, Texas. This bid meets all technical requirements for this budgeted asset and provides a cost savings to the City by standardizing the City’s fleet of transformers.
The purpose of this solicitation is to secure a contract for the purchase of a 18/20/30 MVA Substation Transformer for the Hilltop Substation.
