Consider approval of Resolution 2024-38R, approving the terms and conditions of an Interlocal Cooperation Agreement with the Region 20 Education Service Center, which sponsors the Purchasing Association of Cooperative Entities (PACE) Purchasing Cooperative, providing for a Cooperative Purchasing Program for goods and services; designating the City Purchasing Manager as the official representative of the city relating to the program; authorizing the City Manager, or her designee, to execute the agreement on behalf of the city; and declaring an effective date.

Background Information:
The City is authorized by the “Texas Interlocal Cooperation Act”, Texas Government Code, Chapter 791, to participate in cooperative purchasing programs and therefore purchase through the Education Service Center, Region 20 which sponsors the Purchasing Association of Cooperative Entities (PACE) Program. Participation in PACE will provide a cost savings to the City in discounted rates as well as reduction in staff time for entering into goods and services contracts that are compliant with procurement statutes. There is no cost to the City to join.
