Background Information:
The City acquired electric distribution facilities and infrastructure from LCRA in 1986 when the City took control of providing electric utility services in the City. As part of such acquisition from LCRA, numerous electric utility easements were assigned from LCRA to the City to enable the City’s operation and maintenance of electric distribution facilities.
It was determined by LCRA and City staff that one of the numerous easements assigned to the City was erroneously included and should not have been assigned. This assignment back to LCRA will correct the erroneous assignment. The assignment provides that the City will be allowed to continue its operation and maintenance of electric distribution facilities within the easement area being assigned.
LCRA provides electric power transmission services to the City and co-locates electric power transmission facilities in various substations throughout the area.
