Background Information:
On March 3, 2022, the City received three (3) proposals in response to RFP 222-002 for Microtransit Solution. One (1) proposal was deemed non-responsive because it did not provide transportation services as was required by the RFP. A City-staffed evaluation team comprised of subject matter experts thoroughly evaluated and scored the proposals based on the evaluation criteria published in the solicitation document. The highest-ranking vendor that was determined as the most qualified and best value to the City for Microtransit Solution services is Electric Cab North America located in Austin, Texas. The Electric Cab North America proposal was submitted by Chris Nielsen, as indicated on the attached Proposal Submittal Log.

The Pilot project goal is to provide an environmentally sensitive form of transportation to downtown employees, customers, and residents in the Downtown area utilizing electric cabs. TIRZ funding has been approved for this contract in a not-to-exceed amount of $500,000.
Council Committee, Board/Commission Action:
In the Parking Advisory Board’s Recommendation Resolution 2019-01 RR, the Board proposed an 12-18-month pilot program to shuttle downtown employees, customers, and residents in the Downtown area utilizing electric cabs.
