Background Information:
Seven (7) bids were received on November 17, 2022, for the West Purgatory Creek WW Improvements IFB #222-214. Award is recommended to the lowest responsible bidder, Qro Mex Construction Inc., from Granite Shoals, Texas in the amount of $2,381,741.
Based on the recommendations of the COSM Wastewater Masterplan, this project proposes to replace a 12-inch wastewater line with an 18-inch line from W. San Antonio St across Purgatory Creek to Ellis Street. This project also proposes to install a portion of an 8’x8’ box culvert outfall that will continue upstream with the Bishop & Belvin Street Improvements project. Construction cost for the wastewater line is $1,988,027 and $393,714 for the box culvert outfall accounting for a total of $2,381,741. This project is scheduled to start in February 2023 and to be complete by mid-2024.
