Background Information:
On January 22, 2026, the Hays County Homeless Coalition, in partnership with local agencies and volunteers, conducted the annual Point-in-Time (PIT) Count. This is an initiative aimed at assessing homelessness in our community. Ms. Heintz requested an opportunity to share the results of the study with Council. The purpose of this presentation is to provide the report to Council and hold discussion. Attachments include the presentation, report and the McKinney-Vento data related to children and youth experiencing homelessness.
