Background Information:

Section 6 of the Tax Code requires that appraisal districts receive approval from at least 75% of the entities they serve before they are allowed to perform major building repairs and improvements.  The Guadalupe County Tax Assessor is in need of some major roof repairs as well as the addition of 15 to 20 additional parking spots.  They have sufficient reserves to complete the estimated $160,000 in facility improvements.  They are requesting that the City of San Marcos approves the needed repairs.
